engcon currently measures 20 sustainability related KPIs. Our work with publishing sustainability related KPIs is continuously developed, after which reporting of more measures may be initiated in 2022. Our ambition is also to set long-term goals.

[1] Refers to energy consumption in engcon’s production facilities as a share of net sales. Since engcon mainly assembles products, there is no direct relationship between net sales and energy intensity. Total energy consumption amounted to 13,319 MWh in 2019, 12,437 MWh in 2020 and 12,079 MWh in 2021.

[2] The renewable part of energy consumption consists of energy from hydropower (Skellefteå hydropower).

[3] Refers to water use as a share of net sales. Since engcon mainly assembles products, there is no direct relationship between net sales and water use. Total water use amounted to 3,676 M3 in 2019, 2,703 M3 in 2020 and 3,583 M3 in 2021.

[4] Refers to waste mass as a share of net sales. Total waste mass amounted to 455 tonnes in 2019, 450 tonnes in 2020 and 912 tonnes in 2021.

[5] Refers to waste mass excluding steel as a share of net sales. Total waste mass excluding steel amounted to 202 tonnes in 2019, 224 tonnes in 2020 and 283 tonnes in 2021.
